Savannah Basket - Small Colored

Small basket with lid in beautiful colors. The savannah basket is made in Senegal by village women. This provides them with important income and a sustainable economy.

The basket is woven with straw from the riverbank and decorated with recycled plastic.

The dimensions may vary slightly from basket to basket as they are all handmade and unique:

WE USE THE BASKET FOR;

storage of dirty laundry, empty bottles, plastic waste, paper waste, blankets, pillows, bedding, balls of yarn, dowels, gloves and mittens or shoes in the hallway. It can be used as a pot holder or just as a beautiful decorative element.

All baskets are handmade by women in Senegal, basket making is often their only source of income. The work provides school fees and food for the children.

The baskets vary slightly in appearance depending on which woman made them. A fair trade product and unique craftsmanship.
