Lozi wicker dish M

This stunning dish is lovely as wall decor or on a large table. The basket is made by the Lozi people who live on and off the floodplain of the upper Zambezi. For the Lozi people, basketry is their foremost form of artistic expression. Roots are collected from the makenge bush, boiled until soft and then woven into baskets. Lozi baskets are traditionally woven in two colours, black and natural fibre, usually with different areas using different patterns, including zigzags, geometric shapes and animals.
Dimensions: approx. 47cm in diameter, approx. 12 cm deep.

The dishes are great as table decorations. Fill the dish with nuts or fruit, dried autumn leaves or rose petals from your own garden are beautifully presented in a wicker dish. The dish is also suitable as an all-purpose dish on the dresser in the hallway, or by the bathtub filled with wellness products.
