Buhera basket H:51-55 cm
"Feel the smell and atmosphere of Africa"
Traditional Buhera baskets are handwoven from rattan from the Buhera district of Zimbabwe. Introduce natural materials into your interior with the use of African baskets. These beautiful baskets represent an ancient weaving tradition, the baskets are made by Buhera women in Zimbabwe. Traditionally, these baskets were used to store maize flour and beer. To make them waterproof, they were smeared with clay and cow dung. The baskets are woven by hand, a weaving that requires strength and technique to shape the powerful roots. Each Buhera basket is an eye-catcher in itself. Beautiful baskets that appear as beautiful vases.
Since each Buhera basket is individually handmade, there will be slight variations in size, color and shape, as well as possible woven irregularities. This gives each basket a unique character!
WE USE THE BUHERA CURVES FOR:
The baskets are great as decoration on the table, on a shelf or on the floor. Fill the basket with stones or play balls, put straw or branches in them as decoration. The baskets are perfect as elements in a Christmas decorated house. Just as beautiful in the hallway, living room as in the bedroom.
